Concerning ecological and security criteria SCHÄFER containers for beverages offer a multiplicity of important product properties and product advantages.

Ecology
From the beginning ecological aspects had a high value in the development of SCHÄFER KEG-systems, because as manufacturers we are conscious of our environmental responsibility.

Reusability
The containers of SCHÄFER are genuinely reusable and therefore stand for conservation of resources and environment.

Recycling
Stainless steel or stainless steel and PU or polypropylene are the materials of the container systems of SCHÄFER. All these materials are reusable up to 100%. SCHÄFER has developed a procedure, which allows the easy separation and recycling of PU and stainless steel.

CFC-free
The polyurethane-foam processed by SCHÄFER is free of CFC and solvents. That also applies to all other aids.

Security

Biological security and hygiene
SCHÄFER containers are characterised inside as well as outside by their special smoothness and cleaning-friendly contour: The smooth stainless steel liner guarantees perfect internal cleaning and biological security. The smooth surface, round transitions without corners and edges as well as the existing outflow holes stand for a perfect external cleaning.



Safety check in the filling plant
SCHÄFER control KEGs serve to examine the filling, the cleaning and the pressure. Control KEGs are available for all KEG types of SCHÄFER.

Hygiene of the dispensing facility
Cleaning KEGs of SCHÄFER optimise the decentralised cleaning of the dispensing facility from the dispense head to the tap. Fast, simple and secure. Up to five beverage pipelines with KEG connection can be cleaned at the same time. Moreover the cleaning KEG for soft-drink dispensing facilities is available with an additional connection type for container clutches. With the SCHÄFER Cleaning KEG the cleaning of dispensing facilities is fast, simple and safe.

Manipulation security
Indelible marks in the inmould-coating or inmould-labelling procedure, datixPLUS coding or transponders offer ideal protection from usage for mon-intented purposes. The use of safety fittings protects against unauthorized opening, offers a high safety and reliably excludes the possibility of manipulation.

Operation reliability
All SCHÄFER containers are equipped with a safety burst point. It is patented and confirmed with the GS-certificate (examined security). Since 1998 all beverage containers, including KEGs for beer (up to 3 bar operating over pressure) must be equipped with it. The SCHÄFER safety burst point guarantees absolutely secure and controlled function. Inadmissible over pressure is thereby controlled and channelled safely, reliably preventing a bursting. The container rests calmly at the same spot. The result: safe protection of persons and damage of property.

Safe handling
By the special shape of stand- and grasp-ring all SCHÄFER containers within the respective design are easily stackable. A substantial contribution to your safety. The ergonomic handles ensure a safe handling. A further aspect of safety is the noise protection, which is realized by the PU-coated containers of SCHÄFER in an outstanding way.
